Welcome to O’Thai, where the vibrant flavors of Thailand’s street fare comes alive by the seaside. Nestled in the heart of Kowloon (adjoining Harbour Grand Kowloon Hotel) with breathtaking views of the Victoria Harbour.
At the heart of O’Thai is Chef Wijannarongk Kunchit, affectionately known as Chef Amoo, a celebrated Thai culinary artist with over 30 years of experience. Born in Chiang Mai, Chef Amoo honed his craft alongside Master Chefs in Thailand before bringing his talents to Hong Kong in 1998. Chef Amoo will take you on a culinary journey through the bustling streets of Thailand, delivering dishes that honor traditional recipes and creative artistry. His passion for Thai cuisine shines through every dish at O’Thai, earning him a reputation as one of Hong Kong’s leading Thai chefs.
O’Thai is a dining experience that celebrates the essence of Thai street culture, where every dish is a story, every bite is an adventure, and every moment becomes a sweet memory.
Our menu is a love letter to Thailand’s rich culinary heritage, crafted with the freshest ingredients and infused with the bold, aromatic spices that defines Thai cuisine. From succulent shrimp cakes and fragrant pomelo salad to comforting Thai red prawn curry, stir-fried chicken basil, and flavor-bursting Wagyu beef boat noodle soup, each dish delivers an authentic taste of Thailand’s street food culture.
O’Thai takes the classic Thai appetizer of grilled pork neck to another level by using tender Ibérico Pork, elevating this beloved dish into something truly special. Whether you’re savoring our Jumbo Crab Egg Cream Curry, indulging in a vibrant Tom Yum Kung Soup, or exploring our vegetarian offerings, Chef Amoo promises a perfect balance of tradition and flavor. Every bite at O’Thai brings the streets of Thailand to your table, with dishes that are as colorful and vibrant as the country itself.
O’Thai’s interiors, designed by the acclaimed architect Hernan Zanghellini, masterfully balance modern sophistication with the vibrant charm of Thailand. The space features stone grey tones, lime green silk wallpapers, and intricately crafted Thai-patterned wooden lattices, evoking cultural authenticity and timeless elegance. A striking showcase mirror wall adorned with rattan green wallpaper highlights an exquisite collection of Thai artifacts, adding depth and character to the space.
The restaurant’s al fresco seating area, shared with the adjoining sister restaurant The Bayside, offers stunning, uninterrupted views of Victoria Harbour. This shared outdoor space provides guests with the unique flexibility to enjoy O’Thai’s authentic Thai flavors while also having the option to order from The Bayside’s menu. Whether you’re seated indoors in the warm and inviting dining room or outdoors by the water, O’Thai sets the stage for a memorable experience, bringing the flavors and spirit of Thailand to life with every dish.
